Prescription Policy
Overview
Newfield Health connects patients with licensed physicians for telehealth consultations. When a prescription is clinically appropriate, it is written by the treating physician and filled by a licensed pharmacy. This page explains how that process works and what you should expect.
All prescriptions issued through the Newfield Health platform are written by independent, board-certified physicians licensed in your state. Newfield Health LLC does not write prescriptions, does not fill prescriptions, and does not sell medication. Our role is to facilitate the connection between patients and qualified physicians, and between physicians and licensed pharmacy partners.
How prescriptions work on our platform
The prescription process on Newfield Health follows these steps:
- Step 1 — Patient intake: You complete a health questionnaire providing your medical history, current medications, symptoms, and other relevant information.
- Step 2 — Physician review: An independent licensed physician reviews your intake. This review typically occurs within three hours of submission.
- Step 3 — Clinical determination: The physician makes an independent clinical determination. If treatment is appropriate, they issue a prescription. If they need more information, they may send you a message through the secure platform or, in some cases, request a brief video consultation.
- Step 4 — Pharmacy fulfillment: If a prescription is issued, it is transmitted to a licensed pharmacy partner. The pharmacy fills and ships the medication to you in discreet, unmarked packaging.
- Step 5 — Delivery: Your medication arrives, typically within 3–5 business days for standard shipping. Expedited options are available.
Prescriptions are not guaranteed
Completing an intake and making a payment does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued. The treating physician exercises independent clinical judgment. A prescription may be declined if:
- The requested treatment is not medically appropriate for your reported condition or health history
- You have contraindicated medications or conditions
- Your intake information is incomplete or inconsistent
- The physician determines that in-person evaluation is necessary before treatment can be initiated
- Treatment is otherwise not in your clinical interest
If your prescription request is not approved, the physician or our support team will communicate next steps. You will not be billed for medication that is not prescribed. Consultation fees are charged at the time of intake and are generally non-refundable once a physician has reviewed your case, as described in our Terms of Service.
Available treatments
Newfield Health currently supports physician consultations for the following conditions. The medications listed are examples of what may be prescribed — the specific medication, formulation, and dosage are determined solely by the treating physician based on your individual clinical situation.
Erectile Dysfunction (ED)
Physicians on our platform may prescribe FDA-approved medications for erectile dysfunction, including sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra®) and tadalafil (the active ingredient in Cialis®). Both are well-established, FDA-approved generic medications. The appropriate medication and dosage — including whether daily or as-needed dosing is appropriate — is a clinical determination made by the treating physician.
Premature Ejaculation (PE)
For patients experiencing premature ejaculation, physicians may prescribe off-label medications or recommend behavioral approaches as clinically appropriate. Treatment decisions are made based on your individual health history and symptoms.
Additional conditions may be added to the platform over time. The conditions listed above reflect current availability and are subject to change.
Important: The availability of a medication category on this platform does not mean it is appropriate for you. Your physician makes that determination based on your individual health history and clinical presentation.
Fulfillment and delivery
Pharmacy partners
Prescriptions are filled by licensed, accredited pharmacy partners. Newfield Health does not operate a pharmacy. The pharmacy that fills your prescription is a separate, independent entity operating under its own licensure and regulatory obligations.
Packaging and discretion
All medications are shipped in plain, unmarked outer packaging. There is no indication on the outside of the package of the contents, the sender's identity as a pharmacy, or any health-related information. The return address on shipments is a generic fulfillment address.
Shipping timeframes
Standard shipping typically takes 3–5 business days from the date the prescription is transmitted to the pharmacy. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout. Shipping times may vary based on your location and carrier conditions.
Delivery issues
If your shipment is lost, damaged, or does not arrive within the expected timeframe, please contact us at support@newfieldhealth.com. We will work with the pharmacy to resolve the issue.
Controlled substances
Newfield Health does not facilitate the prescription of controlled substances (Schedule II–V medications under the DEA Controlled Substances Act). The medications currently available through our platform — sildenafil and tadalafil — are not controlled substances.
Federal law and DEA regulations impose significant restrictions on the online prescribing of controlled substances. We do not operate in categories that implicate these restrictions.
Renewals and ongoing care
If you enroll in a subscription program, your prescription will be renewed on a recurring basis subject to ongoing clinical oversight. Depending on your state and the specific medication, the physician may require a periodic check-in before renewing your prescription.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged for medication that has not yet shipped.
If your health circumstances change — including new medications, new diagnoses, or changes in symptoms — you should update your health information through the platform before your next renewal. This ensures your physician has accurate information when making renewal determinations.
When telehealth prescribing is not appropriate
Telehealth prescribing has appropriate applications and real limitations. It may not be appropriate for you if:
- You have complex medical history that requires in-person evaluation
- You are taking medications that may interact with the requested treatment
- You have been advised by a physician not to use certain medications
- You are experiencing symptoms that require urgent or emergency evaluation
If any of these apply, the physician reviewing your intake will advise you accordingly. We encourage you to be fully candid in your intake — accurate information protects your health.
