PT-141 acts through melanocortin pathways involved in sexual desire and arousal, providing a different mechanism from PDE5 treatment alone. PT-141 (bremelanotide) is not FDA-approved for use in men. The only FDA-approved bremelanotide product, Vyleesi, is an injection approved for premenopausal women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder.
Connection and intimacy
Oxytocin is included as a supportive component related to bonding and intimacy. Evidence for this use is more limited than for tadalafil and should be discussed with your physician.
